Argentine Tegu Taming Help

Hello all glad to be a member here. I own a red ackie monitor and a b&w argentine tegu. I've been working with my tegu for about 2 months (she's about 8-9 months old), and there's been good progress. My Tegu now lets me pick her up sometimes but her enclosure is on top of a dresser, how can I get her used to walking around the floor/around me without her getting spooked and running off somewhere? She is used to my smell and clothes by now as I have been constantly working with her and have left a sweaty shirt in the enclosure for her to rest on which she does. Do I need to move the enclosure to the floor? How can I pick her up and get her used to walking around my room without being spooked out and running off in a corner somewhere?

tl;dr: How can I get my tegu to start getting used to walking around the floor of my room?

Re: Argentine Tegu Taming Help

So start out by bringing her into a small room like a bathroom and let her walk around around you and after a few times of doing this she should start to crawl on you and around you. wish you luck
