Checked off one bucket list species
We have been wanting to add this species to our program for a while however cost and the fact that we did not just want to get these guys from anyone made the wait a long one. Well the wait is finally over. Meet our two new additions. Yellow Jacket Line Blackhead pythons. The one on the right (picture provided by Derek) was a 2016 female holdback from Derek Roddy. I can't say enough about this guy. Knowledgeable, friendly and super helpful. You would never know he was also a famous musician. The other was a 2016 Male (pic taken at night with my phone) holdback acquired (referred by Derek) from a very nice local guy named Brandon Harmon. Spectacular snakes and will make amazing breeders in about 4 years. Needless to say we are super excited!

Re: Checked off one bucket list species
Very nice - bhp's are on the 'if I could have an even bigger collection I'd definitely have one'. Always appealed to me and those two are stunning.
And agree re: Derek. If I was in the States I would have spent some serious $$$ with him by now!

Re: Checked off one bucket list species
yeah man, you're getting a smoking pair of BHPs, that's for sure. Glad you got the male from Brandon, he's a great guy and that animal is perfect for the female as they're from mostly the same lines.
Cheers and have fun

Re: Checked off one bucket list species
Both shed the other day so I took the opportunity to snap some pics. It's too cold to go outside for natural lighting and I only have my phone for photos so the pics don't do the justice but here goes anyway.
Female, she has a bit of an attitude. Typical of every pretty lady I know.

Re: Checked off one bucket list species
Amazing reptiles no doubt! Worth every penny in my book. If i was going in that direction, Derek would be the only breeder for me too. Grats.
