Water at the Top of the Damn
Well, I had to think of a new title since I already used "When It Rains It Pours"!
Since I'm going to be close to another seller, when I pick up the Hogg Island, D'Alberts, and the Gray Banded King, I decided to see if this other seller would sell me her Desert King.
We're working out the details for Saturday evening as I type...

Re: Water at the Top of the Damn
Jeeze!!!! What a beautiful snake. I caught a full grown Speckled King on the side of my house and donated it to the wildlife sanctuary, where it became a display animal and lived out the rest of it's life in the lap of luxury.

Re: Water at the Top of the Damn
The seller came back and agreed to sell the Desert King...great!
Now, if only the Woma seller in Richmond (VA) will contact me with a time for this weekend, I can make it a fiver for the weekend.

Re: Water at the Top of the Damn
Nice snake, would take care a little and ask another picture of that snake in case you can't see it before buying... There's a very yellow tint to that image, so the snake may look more yellow than it actually is.

Unless you're unhappy about something, I think you meant to say dam, not damn.

Re: Water at the Top of the Damn
Where it gets me the worst is when typing out a text message. I'm not that fast with the smartphone keyboards and if I don't proof read the message, there's no telling what I would be sending.
Take care and have a great weekend.

I'm on a Smartphone as well....(except mine ain't very bright, I think), but you were posting while I was, and since the content was so close, I want to make sure everyone knows I was not talking about you.
And you have a great weekend as well!!! ( I hope my favorite aunt will...Steve Harvey is headed her way.) OH WAIT!!! That's HURRICANE HARVEY....she'll be fine! Actually, she might not...see...she's in San Antonio. Now, ...the main force of Harvey is likely to hit Corpus Christi...but it will cause torrential downpours and tornadoes quite a bit inland.

Re: Water at the Top of the Damn
Well, the "fiver" is out the window...the Woma seller in Richmond (VA) decided to keep the snake after not answering my e-mails for the past few days as to whether or not he was going to meet me to sell it.
I'm so p'd that if his Craigslist posting is still up I'm going to flag it as inappropriate.

Re: Water at the Top of the Damn
Hey SD, great additions but why don't you try the reputable breeders for your next pickup. Royalconstrictordesigns is a great place to try for the woma. Just a suggestion. Garrick is a exemplary breeder with amazing animals. Gerold Merker is a great breeder for the grey banded kings also Mike Fedzen is a great kingsnake breeder.

Re: Water at the Top of the Damn
I agree with TRD, you might ask to see a photograph of the snake in natural light.

Here's another great source for womas. He breeds quality animals. Home | Black Hills Pythons | Rapid City, South Dakota
Terry's day job is as curator of Reptile Gardens, which has the largest collection of reptiles in the world. He also trains venomous snake handlers. If you check out the thread in Venomous on "Cobra Feeding Time" that's him wrangling the cobras.
ETA: If I ever get well enough to work again I'll try for something working with snakes at Reptile Gardens. I may need to learn to handle hots though, which is a nifty skill to have but something I've got serious reservations about. Fortunately they also have the world's largest collection of antivenom.

Hey , to remedy any confusion SD my post was directed at Scubadiver 59 and not you. Should've referred to him as Sd instead. Thanks.
