Hognose won't eat anything with fur

I posted here a couple months back about my hogs!
The female has put on good weight now but for a long time the male refused to eat until I started feeding him pinkies or fuzzies with only peachfuzz. He seems flat out afraid of hoppers and refuses to eat them.

Is this common? And if he doesn't go back to feeding on larger mice, should I supplement with calcium?

Scent some rat pinkies with mice when it can handle the larger sized prey, and then rat pups as it continues to grow. Those larger sized meals should satisfy its hunger for quite a while.

Eventually it should get out of that stage regarding the fur.
