Female White Tiger Retic
I am planing on breeding this female shes only a little over a year and is at 5 feet feeding on medium rats. I am targeting 4 years old for first breeding thinking of buying a titanium male and making some double het Tigers and none tigers keeping 3 of them one male 2 females and breeding them together a lot of good options there.
Also would not mind finding a Lav Sunfire Goldenchild male for the right price breeding that with her.

Re: Female White Tiger Retic
As far as "double het tiger," a retic can't be het tiger. If it has the tiger gene it will visibly be tiger. They're tigers and super tigers. "Double het" also infers that the snake is het for whatever two recessives make X gene. So in boas (because I'm a boa nerd), a hypo double het moonglow would be a hypo that is het both anery and albino. Tiger is its own single morph.
I also would not do any inbreeding, make sure to outcross any offspring you keep. This reduces the chances of deformities and increases the gene pool so babies are less likely to inherit any health diseases the parents may have.

You read this wrong double citron white phase albino have the clutch will be normal have tiger all will be citron if I go with the titanium breeding. Inbreeding has to happen at some point with ressive gens but I don't plane on going any farther the the 2nd generation.

Re: Female White Tiger Retic
I've got to admit you typed it a little confusingly there solidsnakemg! But it's clearer now, sounds interesting! Would be nice if you shared that project here . I do have to say I think 4 years old is a little young to breed female retics unless you powerfeed them (Which I hope you agree is very unhealthy), my 6 year old female is only now ready to handle a litter because I allowed her to grow up in a regular pace. Breeding them too young can stunt their further development, which I personally think is a shame.

You don't "have" to, as long as the other snake in the pair has those recessives, you'll get the recessives. If you had two unrelated females and bred the male to both, and bred THOSE together, that would be a lot better than breeding siblings together. Unless you're proving out a new morph, imo it's best not to inbreed.
It was worded extremely awkwardly, as Tsubaki said, sorry I misread it.

Re: Female White Tiger Retic
I am with bigsnakegirl. Breeding brother to sister is a big no no in most circles of collectors and breeders. Mother to son or father to daughter is generally accepted. Good luck with whatever you choose just don't be surprised if you catch some **** down the road for doing so.
