Question Fasting?

Hi, I'm new here and the geckos I have are also my first. I have two and I've never tried to sex them but they are well over a year maybe even two and never have fought. They are on calciumm sand and a FYI rock area with several hides and it's heated propaly. About two months ago one stopped eating cold turkey. He has remained active and drinks and there's no way my hungry Leo makes all that poo alone. I've tried Dubia, cricket, super worm, and gel type food. When I feed the other he( the hungry one)will eat a lot and the hungry one drinks and tries to walk out of the cage and doesn't even look really thin compared to his cage mate. How is this possible? Why wouldn't he waste and be lathargic and such? Do they ever fast like a snake? I've always fed them with tongs because they seem like slow hunters and the prey gets to the caves to fast.
