Paradox gene

I was procrastinating at work today and came across a paradox boa... I've saw them before but never thought twice about it as i was not interested at the time- now i am... I did some minor googling and didn't find anything recent on boas and paradox gene, only sand boas... What i gathered is its just a freak gene? Like you can't breed a albino with something and expect to get any paradox?? The stuff i was reading was in forum archives from 2009 had anything changed since then? Are there planned breedings of this gene now?

Re: Paradox gene

Afaik paradoxing still hasn't been proven genetic. You can get a paradox from any pairing at any time. Not too sure what causes it, some people speculate temps during incubation. Although the female cares for the eggs inside her body, she still has to be able/willing to move around to maintain temps without fluctuation.
