So I question how much do vibrations bother reptiles. As it turns out the sub in my 5.1 surround sound system can be felt through the floor upstairs and shake my fireplace at a bit over half power. How much is being transferred through the floor, stands and into the cage I don't know.

Ok, honestly, I think it depends on the reptile. My husband's weightlifting/bodybuilding doesn't phase my Rosy Boa or my Corn. I think vibrations cause more problems with nervous snakes such as Ball Pythons. That's just my opinion though - no scientific basis, just my personal experience.
I play drums in the same room as two of my snakes. My coachwhip will come out and watch me while I'm playing. Same with loud guitar so I don't think it's a big deal.

I second this.
I play bass and I like to play somewhat loudly. The most that I've ever had happen is my snake comes out of hiding and looks at me, but he does that even if I just walk in the room. I've never noticed any adverse effects from being exposed to vibrations. Maybe if it was 24/7 every single day it would agitate the snake but I would say you have nothing to worry about.
Thanks guys and lady. Good to know no adverse effects. It's certainly not 24/7 just a few hours every couple of days. All my snakes have at least 2 hides if not more. It's just something that came to mind when I could feel the vibration upstairs through the hardwood on my feet.
