Is this a Boa?

Hey, we have aquired a snake from an acquaintance who no longer "wanted" it. He gave it to me, though I have most experience with lizards lol.

He is apparently a rainbow boa, or that's what the kid said. I asked him where he got it, and it was from a pet store in a flea market type mall thing. He is quite little and wasn't kept in a large cage and nothing but a small water dish for 6 months. I have him in a 40 breeder for now with a large corner water dish and some hides and branches, but before I start misting his tank and making it humid, I realized he doesn't look much like the other rainbow boas I've seen online ... can you tell me? He is about to shed, he was rubbing his face on our hands when we took him out to put him in his new house, so maybe that makes him look weird. Idk. Thanks in advance, just want to make sure he has a proper set up!
