Found bugs in baby corn snakes tank

Was cleaning out the baby corn snake tank and found bugs. I know there are tons of threads about mites, I just read them all lol. So none of the ones I see posted look like the bugs in his tank. Mine look like tiny fleas, they are not round like the photos I've been seeing, but they are black. I squished one to see if it left blood. Nope, no blood.
Also none on the snake itself, or none that I seen. I soaked him in water to see what would come off him, and got nothing in the water.

So after I removed his bedding and washing his hides down with hot water I went to check Tyrions tank.
His bedding is full of these also. I did notice he was soaking in his water and someone said he might have mites. I checked him then and saw nothing. But then again he is black so it was hard to see.

I will probably treat for mites anyway just in case. But to be honest I really don't know what these are. I use aspen bedding. Thanks for any help you can provide!

Could just be wood mites in the bedding.

Or springtails. I would not treat the snake for mites if he doesnt have them. Treating for mites is toxic and not good for the snake. Can you post a pic of the bugs. What color are they. springtails are whitish and look like tiny fleas and are harmless, mites are red to black and very round. If you squish them you will see a red tint from the blood they eat.

Try putting the bedding in the freezer for a while before using - a great way to remove possible insect issues.
