Ideal hognose setup?

Hi all, I don't currently have any critters due to living arrangements, but in a couple years hopefully will be in a place that I can. I have been stuck on BPs for a while, but more recently became interested in Western Hognose.

So for anyone with experience with hognose, what would an ideal setup/animal be in your opinion/experience? I have a couple years to save so I should be able to get a nice setup when I do, as I probably will only have one animal for a while. Thanks for suggestions.

Re: Ideal hognose setup?

Honestly you can do any kind of setup you like as long as you can keep the temp and humidity within range. outside of the obvious (hides, heat source, water) you should use substrate that the can tunnel in. I would not recommend a glass aquarium because of how poorly it holds humidity, but even with one, hognose's care is relatively easy. do your research but don't over think it. there great pets for beginners to experts.
