Bush vipers

Although I love venomous snakes I don't think I would ever have the confidence or nerve to keep any. However I am in a position were I do get to see them from time to time in the flesh, these are some of the most beautiful snakes I've seen

Re: Bush vipers

My state doesn't allow venomous except to nature centers and I am not even sure if they can have exotic venomous or not. Sad because so many beautiful venomous snakes like bush vipers and eyelash vipers are a treat to look at. I probably wouldn't keep any myself either way, but wish I at least had a choice in the matter.

Re: Bush vipers

Bush vipers are awesome little snakes. I've been lucky enough to keep several species over the years- Broadley's bush viper, green leaf bush vipers, and horned bush vipers. Right now, my only bushy is a hybrid- 50% squamiger x 50% Broadley's bush viper. She's an incredible little snake, light minty green with each scale tipped in brown and her tail area is more teal. She also has the coolest giant dragon-y eyes!

Re: Bush vipers

Here she is, my Atheris squamigera (variable bush viper) x A. broadleyi (Broadley's bush viper) hybrid. I LOVE this girl. She grows like a weed, eats like a champ and just has the coolest look to her!
