Coastal carpet temperment?

So Ive not had the best of luck with the aussie species of snakes.
Ive had a jungle, tried for two years to tame him down and he was just a madman.I rehomed him to a breeder who also couldnt get him tamed down.
I also have a childrens python that is still rather unpredictable even after several years although he is much nicer then when I got him.

So I still would love a coastal carpet python, probably a male caramel.
I know they can be nippy as babies but with regular handling should calm down.But that was what I was told about the others too.
I dont know how to word this without getting flamed, I know snakes arent domesticated pets but would like a handleable pet.
What are my chances with a Coastal? Ive looked at boas and just dont get that feeling that I get when I see a large Coastal python being handled on Youtube.

My coastal was a defensive little thing at first. She's now one if my calmest animals. All snakes are indaviduals.

Grab a nice ball python! If its size you want, search for the sub SAHARAN ball pythons. The females get to about six feet or more and are very heavy bodied. I have seen the females get up to about 4400 gms.

The only carpet I have that is an ******* is a baby jungle diamond. My others are all great. My coastal came to me as a little wrinkled noodle, and has never even tried to bite me. Although it does have a strong feeding response, and would likely bite me if hungry.

I know its a hit and miss as far as temper but it seems to me to be more miss.
I may still get one but we shall see.
