Stuck shed on face

So my tiny 0.0.1 Sand Boa shed about a week ago, but retained some on it's face. In fact it's almost covering it's face entirely. I've maintained a VERY humid hide in the tank for about three days now, and I soaked in a small tupperware for ~45 minutes before that, but I'm not seeing any improvement. I'm still getting a very positive feeding response, but I'm starting to get worried.

I feel the baby is just TOO small (~20g) for me to be able to work it off with tweezers. I really don't trust my hands in that situation.

Does anyone have any advice, or should I just suck it up and go to the reptile vet in town?

Why don't you try a towel soaked in warm water and let the little guy crawl through the towel? Does the retained shed appear to cover his eyes?

It's not covering the eyes at all, thank goodness! And that's a great idea. I'll definitely give it a try!

just apply a liberal amount on the retained shed,put creature in a plastic tub,with kitchen roll as substrate for a few hours and the shed should be able to be removed with a cotton bud,or more likely it will come off on it's own

I got a zoo med shed aid spray. When I have a stuck shed I put it in the smallest appropriate sized delicup or tub with warm damp paper towel in the bottom. They soak there for an hour. Then I give them a gentle wipe with a damp cloth and a couple squirts of the shed aid as needed.

UPDATE:

My lil snake 86'd the shed! Face is all clear, and snake is seemingly content and happy.

In the future just leave it. Increase your humidity the next shed cycle amdand it'll come off as long as its not binding or covering the eyes
