Rock Rattlesnakes

Does anyone have any type of experience with these? My forum search showed that SSSSnakes owned a Banded and I think that I might consider getting a Mottled Rock Rattler in the more distant future. I don't think that I'm ready to own a venomous yet, but I'd like to have a small rattlesnake someday and these are very good looking. Just wondered what you all thought of them...

Thanks

Re: Rock Rattlesnakes

I had a Banded Rock Rattlesnake for years, he was awesome. It took a lot to get him to rattle. He sat on a hook nice, and was always calm, and was a good eater.

I still have the Banded Rock Rattler. He is pretty mellow. But I would not want to take a bite from him. They have hemotoxic venom and that is a painful bite.

I've read that about them - that they're mellow, but have a potent bite. When I pulled up the thread that you made about yours he looked inquisitive and not very nervous at all. Seems like a pretty interesting little fellow.
