tub question

First time post here

I'm about to get a Lavender Retic and bought a 10 gallon tub for him. I'm using a uth with a hydrocarbon thermostat. Now for the question. How many holes would you suggest?

Thanks

Re: tub question

Hello and welcome!

I would just put a few at each end and on the side with a couple in the top. I space mine about 3 inches apart. I always put them on the lower haft of the tote. Out side of a couple in the lid i don't put any above haft way up mark. The reason for this is it keeps the hit in but lets the floor stay dry.

This. I have mine in 41qts for the first 6-8 months usually with a few exceptions then they get bigger cages.

I've had them before so I know the growth rate

For your tubs miller

A) opaque or clear...does it matter
B) how do you secure the lid?

Thanks
