escaped, but found
I was quite angry...let the hubby hold his new "baby" Hades while I fluffed his eco-earth and readjusted his thermostat and thermometer probes, etc...we were going to try and feed him (our first feed with him) also..he let him dart into the cushions of the recliner and we had to lift the whole couch up and tip it to get to where he had holed up...he wasn't harmed but i was sooooo mad that he couldn't pay enough attention to keep him from getting into that position!! needless, to say, he didn't eat after that...he is also going into shed, so I didn't really expect him to, though...most of my snakes do eat in shed, so figured it was worth a shot...

Re: escaped, but found
Well I can think of two other reasons why it probably didn't eat for you.
First you just got it so he probably needs to acclimate.
Secondly Rainbows are normally really shy so to take it out for any reason before it eats would probably throw it off.

I don't see any issues with the way Korbin worded his comment, especially coming from him. I was expecting much worse haha

It's txt so you have to not read into it.
I agree as to the reasons your snake will not eat.

Re: escaped, but found
I attempted only because #1 he missed his scheduled meal due to purchasing, #2 I was thawing for the others anyway, didnt see harm in offering, and #3 the pet store was underfeeding him with mouse pinkies. Thought maybe he would be hungry. Didn't figure he would eat but thought I would just offer and see.
