Can anyone point me out to some good, up-to-date books on the biology of Varanids and stuff?

If you can get it,

Chimaira's "Monitor Lizards: Natural History, Care and Breeding" by Bernd Eidenmuller. The English translation is from 2007, there is a new edition in German from 2009
