Not eating..

Hey guys. I have a little Hondo, she's been refusing for about 3 weeks now..I know a lot of your guys snakes have gone off feed since it's this time of year..but I'm worried since she's so small..35grams last week. So..any suggestions? Temps are 84-87 hot side. Cool side is just ambient air in my room, around 68-70 at the coldest. Do I need to retain that heat better? To keep the ambient air higher?

What size prey and how often were you feeding her? She could be going into shed. 3 of my 4 snakes refuse food right before and during shed.

I'm feeding her fuzzies or at least trying to, I fed her pinkies once, and they left no bulge so I upped her to fuzzies and she's has eaten 3 of them since I switched her bit she won't eat now. Her first shed with me she did eat even in blue..I'm just worried cuz she's so small..

Feedig every 5-7 days. I recently moved her into a new enclosure and had her a week off to let her settle. But she refused again.

Have pics of her new enclosure? What substrate do you use and does she have secure hides?

Ya, I'll post in the morning, it's a glass tank 30x12x8 using aspen. I'm going to switch over to a higher humidity holding substrate. She has 3 hides over the tank.

Tank setup. The back, and both sides have the cling on for privacy, heat lamp to help a little with ambient air, she rarely ever ventures in the surface, usually burrowed somewhere.

Nice pics! Sometimes when they go off feed you can "tempt" them with smaller food items. If your really concerned I would suggest maybe waiting a couple days then trying a pinky or two. Hopefully everything works out for you and Layla!

I'll give that a shot! Could my husbandry be the issue, only thing I know is low is the humidity..which will be fixed next week.

But if she refuses the pinky I give her..think maybe giving her a live one? If she doesn't eat it, not a huge deal. I have a not picky BRB that will hog it down I'm sure lol. But that won't happen until the 12th of December.

I think smaller hides that she could feel more secure in may help.She has lots of open space in her enclosure.

Those are also on the way sharth. Along with more foliage for cover! Hopefully by the time I get everything redone she decides to eat..-_-

Awesome! I'm waiting on Darth, my baby black milk to finish his first shed with me so I can feed him again. Keep us posted!
