Thinking about getting a russian red foot

Hey, im thinking about getting a russian
red foot tortoise. Just curious if anybody
knows any breeders in southern ontario.
Or a place to get them. I've been looking
around but haven't had much luck. And the
ones i have found were at a pet store chain
and they wanted 750 for a red foot. Any
help would be greatly appritiated.

Yeah, don't pay anything more than $400 for a red foot. The only thing for red foots is that they need a little bit more humidity.

I heard of a breeder in AB named Wayne Fedorchuck. I don't know if he has any available, but here's his info:
wfedorch@telusplanet.net

He also posts on kingsnake, the Canadian site, under the turtle/tortoise forum.

Cheers,
JJ

I just got one for $250 Cnd from someone selling it here. Looks to be about a year old at most. I now have 2 Russians, an African suc and him. I like the Russians the best!

Wayne is breeding but there's a waiting list. I emailed him and he put me on the list for his hatchlings this year. He seems nice, very polite and prompt with his emails. I think he wants $225 each, which is very decent. I heard he doesn't ship though (just heard, not a for sure).

I purchased my little CBB Redfoot from Grant Crossman. He was bred by someone in Fort Erie, although his name slips my mind at the moment, he is the major producer of many CBB torties in the area.
