Cave gecko addiction (Goniurosaurus)
hey everyone, im normally a snake/boa guy but recently i've become more and more interested in cave geckos and their subspecies.
It started with a single Hainan cave gecko (G.Hainanensis) and shes been producing eggs, 5 eggs since april. This spurred me on to find her a mate, which i hope i did today, as i've just got a young G.Hainanensis (too young to sex).. fingers crossed.
They're a great species (with 13 sub species) to keep although very shy and don't really do well with handling.
Here is a few pics of my adult female and young unsexed Hainan cave gecko (adult female is the lighter one)

My personal experience is with the G. Luii
Very cool geckos that aren't seen often anymore. Well done with those!

Smy, theyre all cave geckos. The top 2 light n dark are the same sub species... They lighten up with age.
The G.luii is a separate sub species..

Cheers mate, I got a Luii too . Yes they are very cool.. So entertaining to watch and quite ferocious in their feeding for such a small gecko.

Re: Cave gecko addiction (Goniurosaurus)
Unfortunately my new Hainan died.. The breeders have refunded me the money but I'm still gutted. He was a cute little guy and I set him up exactly the same as my adult female. They blamed it on stress :-/
