Today I ordered a RHP for my sd retics enclosure. It's currently set up with heat tape. Tape works great for belly heat. But ambient temps only hit mid 80s on hot side and upper 70s on cool side. When I get it I plan on screwing it in place and controlling it with a thermostat. Should I use both tape and rhp. Or just the RHP? Also my humidity is 70s on the cool side and hot side always fluctuates. Measured with a electronic hygrometer. Curious how its measured really either one side, both, or in the middle? Tried to do some research and look that up. But couldn't really find much on where. Thanks for looking.

I personaly prefer to stick to one heat source. If you bought enough panel for the size of the enclosure it should heat it just fine. My snakes with rhp use their entire vivs and move around where as my snakes on uth tend to sit on them. Personaly I prefer a single rhp over anything else I have used.
