What do you all think/know about the blue spotted Timor monitor? I've seen some on the Kingsnake classifieds for $150 from some different sellers, and I'm curious about them. Are they any different from "regular" Timor monitors, and if so then what's the difference? What do their care requirements look like?
I did some research on these a few weeks ago and It seems their care is pretty similar to most other monitors, they may be a little more skittish than others I've heard.
They are a separate species from Timor Monitors, and would be more accurately called Peacock Monitors. (V. auffenbergi, not timorensis.) However, their care is identical to a timor.
