V. Kingorum & V.Storri

I have come to find out that not many people are breeding these species. I was hoping that i could be directed to someone that is or have they become extinct in the U.S.

Thanks

A member here, Gregg at Squamata Concepts, breeds the kingorums. Im not sure off the top of my head if anyone is breeding storri, but Im sure there must be.

I can link you to people if you are serious. Kings are leucistic or het and I think are hovering between 1500-3000 each. Greg and John A breed some there is also one or two other people. Chris Murray has some storri eggs in incubation and has another gravid female that he updated about today. I think they are around $1000-1500.
*note-these are prices i seen last year, not sure they have dropped or increased.

Alex m gets all kinds of stuff. He is also where I directed. You can also get some German varanids imported but it wouldn't be cheap.

Re: V. Kingorum & V.Storri

We are currently working with Kingorum. We will have some available later this season. We do not work with storri. They are not a fun species to work with. They hide a lot. They are also known for killing eachother when kept even in just pairs. The Kingorum on the other hand are a complete pleasure to work with. They are always out and about, can be kept in groups, and come in "leucistic" form. Although, they are not truly leucistic. It is more like a hypo/T+ amelanism.

So, the Kingorums are being bred in the US. There are not many at all working with them and even less breeding them. In fact, I believe the only ones breeding them successfully right now are Alex M, John A and myself. John and I were the first to hatch the leucistics here in the US.

Here is the first leucistic hatched in the US.

The Leucies are amazing but as i come to find out, not too many on the market and who knows when they will be. Im sure the breeders, like yourself, are probably going to hold on to their clutches for awhile until they stock up but I will keep trying.. Keep up the good work. They are awesome.

very nice. Lovin, you can find them occasionally if you look long enough. However, unless you have breeding plans, 3000 for a pet is quite high IMO lol
