Snake Fungal Disease/Chrysosporium
I've been reading a few articles on this recently as it's been found in this area on Timber Rattlesnakes, Black Rat Snakes and Eastern Garter Snakes. What I can't seem to find information on whether it is contagious or do the snakes need to come in contact with the fungal spores. Does anyone know of any good articles that may have additional information? Also does anyone know if this poses a risk to pet snakes being brought outdoors? Thanks for any info.
