Spot

We were taking my chameleon out for some sun recently and noticed this spot.

I ALREADY HAVE a vet appointment, but the soonest I could get was May 11th.

Until then, I wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions on what I could do, or ideas as to what it is.

Thanks.

Insect bite possibly, or maybe damage done by a cage decoration?...

How suddenly did this show up? Is there proper air flow in its enclosure? It could be fungal but a vet would need to look for sure. Let us know what they say.

It doesn't look like a bite. Cage decorations are a pothos, and jungle vines, and i don't see how he'd hurt himself on that.

The air flow is awesome, I have a large JD Terrarium with 3 screen sides.

See my chameleon has those spots as well, and i believe we got it from the same breeder, do you think they might run through the family? just giving hints. I dont think these are bites or anything.

The trip to the vet shall tell all, I suppose...maybe, meow, you should take your cham to the vet too?

Meow .. thinking for how long now? 6 months? I saw those spots on yours a while ago and you were still 'thinking' about it. I do not want to put a damper on a wicked (in my experience) breeder but do you guys not think it odd? Both adults purchased from the same breeder from the same show and are similar in age have the same spots?

Did either of you two take your him to a vet after the purchase?

well im not gonna lie here, but no i did not, cause i got a couple of people suggesting me to her, they said they never had problems with her chameleons. Now my nosy be use to have around 3 spots, and there going away, and now theres 1 left. Hopefully this will go away.

When i first posted about these spots, i went to a talk to a friend of mine at the pet store, that works in the reptile department, he owns panthers and other type of speices, he told me theres nothing to worry about, so i didnt go to the vet, and it hasnt gotten worse.

Dank7oo:The chameleon that Trace help you get, do you know where she got it??? I think fromt he same breeder do you see any of these spots??? Yes i do think its a little odd.

I don't think its odd...and, I don't really feel a need to blame anyone but myself if something like poor husbandry is to blame (which it friggin isn't)

I wouldn't rely on something someone at a pet store would say, and this is why my cham has a vet appointment with a great exotics vet on Tuesday.

At Alta Vista? LOL I like them here too.
Meow, both Max and Leon are from the breeder and neither have any health problems or any spots. Buying as babies htough, I would expect nothing to be wrong.
