Got the best pictures I could. I put my Garter and King on a Bio-Active setup about 45 days ago and all the sudden I am covered up with these. I planted a Pothos in each one about the same time. And both enclosures have a lot of these. They are about a 1/16" long or smaller.
Fungus gnats. They are hard to get rid of, I get them from my houseplants.
That's what I thought too. I have a good gravel bottom and drainage I think. But I was probably over watering when I put the house plants in. And sure they came with the plants I bought. I stopped watering completely since my OP and I pretty much have them under control now. I have very few. And the plants and bioactivity seem good.
