Ruby My Normal Striped Corn Snake Picture Thread
CB13 - Normal striped corn snake
Here are some pictures I've taken of her. She seems to be showing stripes the full length of her body now compared to only about half way when I first got her.

Thank you. Having acquired a boa and carpet python since her I tend to handle my corn less because the others are so much more interesting and exciting when they are out. I still like her just as much if not more than the day I got her but I don't see myself acquiring any more corns in the future.
As a bit of a side note... most things I read online advocate a corn as the best first snake and then often a ball python and so on. I can see why corns make good first snakes but for me anyway the carpet and boa are no harder to take care of. Yes they will reach a greater size as adults but temperment with mine are great and husbandry is simple with proper setups (NOT aquariums). I'm sure many others have got sucked into the corn/Ball python for a first snake and quickly upgraded to what they really want soon after and to me thats a bit of an issue because then the corns and balls may get neglected or sold.
Sorry for the rant but it seems to me so much info is regurgitated online and people fail to voice their own opinions about first snakes to get. With the proper funds to get a decent enclosure then there is no reason a corn or ball has to be the first. In all honesty if everything wasn't so pro corn and anti large constrictor as a first snake I likely wouldn't have this little beauty.
Anyway enough ranting and getting side tracked!

Re: Ruby My Normal Striped Corn Snake Picture Thread
Stripes are nice. I'm a big fan or corn snakes. In the future if I want to drop a couple hundred bucks on a snake, I might get a tessera stripe.

Re: Ruby My Normal Striped Corn Snake Picture Thread
Here are some recent pics. She is a great display snake and is very curious.
Sometimes she even pretends to be a cobra!
