Giving Gonzo some love!

Several years (7?) ago i rescued a bearded dragon from the trash, they literally had thrown him in a trashcan in a cardboard box. Tried for a while to relocate him, being a male i couldn't find anyone to take him in. So he was mine for about 3 years, then the people who used to watch him during vacations adopted him from me! I still see him nearly every week, took some pics last time.. He's an awesome little guy! They named him after a muppet

(Do NOT miss the crickets/roaches one bit...)

I was going to ask if the name gonzo had anything to do with Hunter S Thompson, but you answered that question.

That's horrible that someone threw him away, glad you found him and a home for him.

Yea they advertised it on a dutch website (similar to craigslist), in what bin they threw him! He was lucky to still be alive when i got to him! He was only a tiny baby

People can be horrible, they did not even know what he was. They advertised him as an Iguana, he's pretty clearly not an iguana :|
