And the Normal het Albino male Cape House snake, also still needing a name. He was a lot shyer than the female, so didn't get as good of pictures of him.

I like how they look similar to corns minus the eyes, and they're both gorgeous!
glad they came alive and good to go :)

They look to me like cornsnake/python hybrids. I really like this species for some reason, although I like the normal better than the albino :-P
I also had 2 great fedex packages arrive today, good day!
Wow, very pretty. I have never heard of these guys before, are they decently common?

You can find them on kingsnake pretty frequently last time I checked. Dunno bout the binos though.
Semi common, the normals are generally super cheap, really cheaper than is fair I think. The morphs though can still be quite pricey. From all I've heard, they are hardy, very good beginner snakes for both keeping and breeding. No special requirements and the babies are generally supposed to be great mice eaters, taking F/T readily. They have a very strong feeding response and somewhat have a rep for being bitey but they are usually docile with handling, as long as they don't think you are food!
Amy,
I'm glad they arrived safely!
I did not know that you were a member on this forum! I usually post pictures of my old world rat snakes here!
To answer a few other questions: I believe part of the reason they do not get the respect that they deserve is due to their reproduction (they are egg layers by the dozens in a year) so many people just try to get rid of them fast. Albinos are very hard to find at a good price! They take a minor bit of work to get on f/t but easily done!
ENJOY!

Very awesome acquisitions, and a very cool species to work with. I used to have a roomful of these myself.

Ah okay that's what I wanted to know. Do you know of anyone in Canada breeding them? Seems to be more difficult to find some here :p
Eh yeah, didn't notice your location. There isn't anyone in Canada that I'm aware of.

Awesome! Can't wait to see more pics once they're settled. :)
Got them out to feed them yesterday, so I snapped a few quick pictures. They both ate, always a great feeling with new snakes!
Still working on naming them ...

Some reason that posted twice, sorry!
Great to hear! I'm glad they settled in nicely for you!
Got them out to feed again and the normal male had just shed, he lightened up a lot and is a beautiful yellowy caramel color. I tried to take a few pictures of him but he did not want to sit still!
Tried putting him in a bowl, but he didn't let me get more than one flying picture.

Then I picked him up and held in my left hand and took these with my right, using a camera with a macro lens that takes way too long to focus! Based on that, I'm actually super happy about how well these came out!

Have settled on names for them both, the male is Ukiah and the female is Indigo.

Those are very beautiful snakes. Love the "V" accents on the head. It's very noticeable on both and the albino just reminds me of good quality amber.
Brought out Indigo for some natural light pictures. She didn't really want to cooperate, hence the deli cup.

The physiology of these really reminds me of childrens / ball python cross or something.
Got some kind of crummy pictures of Indigo hanging out on her hammock, she likes it but never uses it during the day. I only find her chilling out in it if I go into the room after dark.
