Can you own a Antaresia Maculosa in Oregon, without any permits, Etc?

Hey, guys! I am checking out different snakes, to help decide which I want to own next. I am interested in the Antaresia maculosa, but I was wondering if you needed any permits, or licenses to own them? You can no longer get a Exotic Pet Application, in Oregon (the last time I checked) so it'd really suck if you needed one! If I owned a home I would get one, regardless of law(s), but I'm in an apartment.. with an on site manager! Anyways, I know it's a silly question, but thanks in advanced, to all who answer! :)

You should check with your local authorities to find out whoever issues the permits? In California, it was "Fish & Game", in Arkansas it's "Game & Fish", lol...but you get the idea? I know nothing about Oregon or what is covered by their Exotic Pet Application but I can't imagine why anyone would restrict Antaresia maculosa, they are small & harmless...unless the name "python" riles everyone up? -but then, ball pythons are allowed, right? Do ask though, just in case? (another kind of snake that is pretty cool is the African House snake...I've never kept them, always meant to...supposed to be pretty easy?)

Doesnt seem from the Oregon state website that pythons would be restricted on a state wide basis, but it will depend on your county and city regulations. The other thing to think about in an apartment is that there might be a provision in your lease against it, though Im guessing you have that covered if you have a snake already.

The one I have is a great pet & a convenient size anyway, worth considering. She is SO alert, often hiding but pops right up anytime I get near her cage (hoping for prey!).
Also a good climber & enjoys basking on branches, & she has never mistaken me for food, I should add.

Sounds like my kind of snake! I seriously have the laziest snake ever (Perhaps she thinks she's sneaky!). And thanks for the reply, I'll definitely check 'em out.
Btw, may I ask which snakes, or just pets in general, you own? :)
