So I just bought some water from costco and I didn't notice it until I got home but it says it's purified water with minerals added for taste. My question is it ok for snakes? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Does it tell you which kind of minerals are added?

To what are you planning to give it?

Potassium biocarbonate, sodium biocarbonate, calcium citrate, sodium chloride and magnesium oxide. It's for a kingsnake

Sodium bicarbonate is salt which can't be that good for it.

Most of those are salts (sodium chloride is table salt, sodium bicarbonate is baking soda, etc), but in trace amounts, so its fine for your snake. Purified (boiled) water tastes funny as the normal salts and minerals present in ground water dont evaporate during the purification process. Either is fine for your snake though.

Lol. I thought sodium bicarbonate was table salt.

Table salt is NaCl which is sodium chloride. One sodium atom with one chloride atom.

Just fresh plain tap water is fine. No added minerals needed.

I don't like to use tap because out water isn't the cleanest. So this water will be fine?

Yep, not a problem

You do know what they drink in the wild, right? Your "bad" tap water is 1,000,000 x better than most third world countries water. It's most certainly better than anything they drink in the wild....

Yes, I know but since these don't live in the wild and in my room as my pets, I like to give them the good stuff
