Just received this guy yesterday, and put a few custom perches inside his enclosure. Nothing fancy but he seems to like it.

Nice acquisition! Welcome to the morelia club. :)
Welcome! Great looking snake. Are those pics with flash or without? His yellow looks neonish with greenish tints. Looks pretty cool.

Hi, no those pics are taken without flash. It must be from the low wattage fluorescent and black light incandescent bulbs. Makes his colors stand out in the cage.

The enclosure has been modified and improved on since the picture. I taped the three sides with black construction paper(which I would recommend to anyone instead of taping regular paper. These things have an adhesive side so it's just like taping the enclosure instead of taping paper onto it(which can look messy).
But even when the picture was taken, there were plenty of hides on the ground. 3 official in total. 1 habba hut log in the right corner, one cave in the left and the skull which someone mentioned earlier. Then there are other spots like in between logs and such that he uses more than the actual hides themselves.
You don't always have to use "hides". You can make plenty of "hiding spots" by the placement of enclosure furniture which looks more natural and works just as good and sometimes better since snakes can squeeze into a stack of logs or a bundle of vines which feel tighter and more secure, rather than going into half a log or cave which still has room even when the snake is fully inside it.
