I have a pacific tree frog and I had him in a 10 gallon aquarium tank and he would climb all over the sides but I had an extra 20 long terrarium lying around so I thought he would enjoy the space so I put him in that. My question is now that he is in the 20 long he can't seem to climb the walls anymore. He tries and just falls off. Is there a difference between aquarium and terrarium materials? I thought they were both made of glass?
I would think they probably are both made from glass. Is one newer than the other? Glass will get small scratches and deposits on it after being in use for awhile, so will make it easier to climb on for your frog. If you want, you can take a scratch pad or steel wool and just give a light scrub, or spray some tap water on it and let it dry. The minerals in the water will leave deposits that your frog will be able to grip to.

It's actually the opposite, the 20l is about a year old and the aquarium was brand new
