Heya. I'm Stacy. I'm 14 years old, turning 15 on the 23rd. I got a corn snake when I was 11, and had her for a while. She was friendly, I held her all the time, and she had a nice life. She got loose about 2 months before Christmas. :( She was always a tiny snake (she was the smallest of her clutch, always tinyyy, even with regular feedings. Even at 2 1/2 years old, she still had to eat pinkies) who got out quite a lot. The first time she got out, she was pretty young. It only took us about a day to find her. The second time she got lost, she was gone for several months. When we found her, we locked her cage down good every time she was put back. However... she still managed to get out 7 months ago. I miss her a lot, but I know she led a fulfilling life. She always had full, healthy glossy sheds and never once bit or struck.

Now that my 15th birthday is coming up, and I've given her a long time to turn up, and boy has it been a long time looking for her, I've decided I can probably get another snake. :) Me and my dad wanted to go to the Tampa repticon this weekend but decided against it. So we're going to the Sarasota repticon next weekend! (Yep, Florida has constant bird/reptile/dog expos xD).

It's going to be my first reptile expo and I'm super excited! I'm hoping to get another snake friend. :)

I'm hoping to get a different snake this time. :) Corn snakes are great, but I'm looking for something a bit different this time.

Welcome to the forum. What are you thinking about getting this time? Hopefully you have a better way of preventing escapes now?

Hey, thanks guys for the warm welcome. :) And yeah I now have locks to keep the top of the tank secure. I'm not 100% sure what I'm getting but any medium sized snake that I click with will be great! I'm hoping to get a baby as well.
