Hello eveyone,
My name is Daniel and I just recently joined this forum to promote my new business and meet new people in the snake world. I currently live in Winter Haven, FL and my business is Central Florida Snake Removal. The name of the business speaks for itself. Someone has a snake on their property, we get a call, we drive over, we remove the snake, we relocate the snake in a better area. My goal is to have 500 likes by the summer time on my Facebook page and it would be great if you all checked it out. At the moment we are working on our website so be patient and I'll keep you posted. I hope to get a great first response from everyone. Please...NO NEGATIVE COMMENTS! If your goal is to meet new friends I would suggest you just join as a herp guy and not post a first or 2nd post about your business. If your business wasn't snake related you would already be gone for spam.
Tell you what after I see some postings that contribute to our site I will bump on over to your facebook and check it out.
Now if your goal is to get advice for relocating snakes then ask away. Most people here would love to help ;)

If you deleted the bold parts, and emphasized the underline parts. You would have been better off. Nobody appreciates people who join for the bold stuff. Not that I don't think its a good idea (if you truly love snakes and aren't in it for money), but I don't feel like it was the right way to introduce yourself ;)

^^^What they said^^^ an in terms of negative comments - you are posting on an open public forum, there will be both negative and positive comments made, if you can t handle the negative then unplug your internet connection.

Just a thought, but leave business cards with the plumbers in your area. We had one fix a leak in a supply line in our crawl space under the house, poor guy came flying out from under the house, white as a sheet and sweating bullets, when he encountered a four foot black rat snake under there. We shifted the snake to the woodpile ourselves, and he got the job done in record time...

BTW, the number of "Likes" on your FB page mean very little. What matters much more is regular activity and "people talking about" stuff on your page. I've seen pages with several hundred Likes on them, but it is very stagnant because no one posts anything there.

Every day, post something on the page: photos, a question, anything. When people are regularly commenting, sharing things you, and also post on the page, your page is doing well.

A "Like" is just someone visiting the page and signing it. They may never visit the page again, and what good does that do you?
