So I walked out of the shower an hour ago, went to dry off my shoulders and found that the lymph node at the base of my neck is swollen to the size of a big cherry tomato...
Called my boss and he won't let me take the day off tomorrow so I'll be heading to the docs tomorrow night after work...
Did a bit of research and it doesn't really mean anything good... Sigh.

I've got no local cuts or invections, my arms however have at least 100 active cuts on each of them from wrist to elbow (my work is pretty brutal) so that could be it but to be honest I don't understand it well enough, and I try to avoid self diagnosis... I'll find out what the doc says tomorrow.

Get it treated before it gets bad .
I have pretty severe neck/shoulder nerve damage.
Mostly due to neglect on my part ..It sucks.
All I have to do now is turn my head even a little bit wrong and I regret it for days.

Hopefully yours isn't that bad xP

Just to let you know a single swollen lymph node is something to have checked but not something to lose sleep over. My wife has the same lymphnode swollen to the size of a walnut. She has had it for 10 yrs at least. She went to a specialist in London who told her it was nothing but a swollen lymph node and didn't mean she had anything else wrong. He also said better one badly swollen than many slightly swollen. Get it checked out but odds are your fine. So stop worrying :)

Swollen lymphnodes could literally be anything, just your bodies way of dealing with it. I took a 3 month vacation to hawaii and got 2 huge swollen lymphnodes (both sides of my neck). I had mono....and it started right when I got to hawaii , luckily it didn't affect me at all, aside from the lymphnodes.

Hopefully you don't have mono, some people can get pretty bad..
