Massasauga is a lake in missisassauga. They have a massasauga rattlesnake there... I've seen and worked with them (in the field)...

No, I do not "think" Massasauga is a rattlesnake. I KNOW it is a rattlesnake. ;)
But the term could also apply to certain geographical locations/structures as well.
BTW, that genus also includes pygmy rattlesnakes.
