Hi, it may just be the angle of the photos, but he looks a little heavy in a couple of them. Do you have any pics of the whole enclosure?

Just got done feeding, and he's in a 50 gallon tote.

Take it from me, you don't wanna house a monitor in a 50 gallon rubbermaid. I learned that the hard way, and my monitor suffered a bit. Your monitor is much larger than my baby rudi was too. You need to upgrade.

Sell him or the rubbermaid? Its not only size that causes issues in rubbermaids though

Him, and what else is wrong with tubs?

The fact that they can't observe anything other than the opaque walls is pretty stressful on them (I learned that here, they like to 'monitor' surroundings).

It doesn't allow for deep substrate. A bosc that size would utilize 2 full feet of substrate to burrow in, but the rubber maid totes aren't even 2 feet tall total. Its also hard to reach high basking temps on one end ,and not have the entire rubbermaid turn into a hot box (thermogradient hard to achieve).

I understand the wall thing, but my basking temp are 130 on these flat rocks a have. they are black tho. Cool side between 75-80. humidity 50-70 percent.
