I would put them in an insulated box for sure. Place the roaches I a cloth snake bag with loosely crumpled newspaper then tie the bag. That's how I get all of my insects. I would consider a heat pad though.

Or use egg crates, you might want to get at least a hand warmer or something if its cold though no? Its still pretty cold where I'm at, and like 35 in the morning, and I don't think they would do well in that temp range.

Egg crates would require a larger box.

I cut mine into smaller pieces, because I seperate my babies from the adults and keep them in smaller tubs (its easier to find them that way)

Ok thanks guys. I was looking at shipyourreptiles.com for heat packs. Know anywhere else I can get them? I may check my local hardware store to see if they sell singles.

They sell them at places like home depot and lowes, and I think even dicks sporting goods sells them for football / soccer / players when its cold

Those are usually only good for 4-12 hours. He would need something that last longer.

Ok so im taking this approach. But where do i put the heat pad? Is it ok if its touching the bag?

Tap it to the top of the box and put some crumpled newspaper as a barrier.
