If I were to post pics of my Corn Snakes tails can someone give a likely sexing from photos alone? I know this won't be 100% and the sex isn't important. More out of curiosity.

If you get some close ups of the vent we would have a better guess.

I tried uploading links to pics on Flickr but got some message that said I wasn't allowed. Maybe I haven't made enough posts yet.

23656I think I've gridded the correct 2 and I'm thinking both male. The 1st is in blue at the mo which is my poor excuse for the pics.

This is curiosity more than anything. No real interest in breeding them right now.

Are corns even sexually dimorphic?

Males do have long tail compared to females but a large female can easily have a longer tail then most males. My guess is just that a guess. But I'm always right :p

You can't tell really from the pics. Can you see visible spurs? on males you can, females have them but are tucked away although you may still be able to see them.

Probing is the best method.

Yes they do, i have a pic somewhere of one of my corns with spurs.

I was advised that if it has spurs it is definately male, if it doesnt have spurs it could be either male or female.

If I'm honest guys, I've never noticed spurs on any Corns I've handled. Pythons yes but not Corns in my experience.

So does that mean if there is no hemi-***** outline on the shed then it is a female?
