Just an idle question for those of you who have attended shows in more than one place. And for clarification, by "best", I mean shows with a great diversity/selection of different critters.

Yesterday when I was at the Taylor, Michigan show, I ran into a friend of mine who had never been there before. He is in the process of setting up a tank in preparation for pdfs. Not too long ago he had been at a show in Chicago checking out the offerings to get an idea of availability and pricing. He had expressed disappointment in the Chicago show saying that, while it was big, the selection of animals in general did not impress him -- mostly just expensive bps and cresties with a sparse smattering of other animals. I mentioned the Taylor show to him as -- to my inexperienced eye, at least -- there often seems to be a nice diversity of "critters" there. And since admission is inexpensive ($5 per person, kids 10 and under are free) he could always bring his kids along for a cheap time at an "exotic zoo". So, when I ran into him at the show and he (along with the wife and kiddies) had had a chance to wander around for a while, I asked him how it compared to the Chicago show. I was rather surprised when he said that while the Taylor show seemed to be about 1/2 the size of the Chicago show, the selection of different types of animals was far better than what he had seen in Chicago. (Apparently the Taylor show admission was far less too.)

So whether as a vendor, buyer, or "window shopper" what is the best show you have seen?
