Generally when they give live birth, babies are not the only thing making an exit ....;-)

I know with emeralds, they release quite the impressive amount of feces while giving birth, not sure if these are the same but if thats the case...yes, it smells.

Actually its not the same...there is no feces.
Boas defacate a day or two before they give birth like clockwork.You get babies and the afterbirth soup.

@Jack C--Of the several litters I have had over the years,I have noticed a smell before finding the babies,but its not a strong/offensive smell.

No...its not.They will defecate during the gravid stage if they have eaten.Just not as often I have found.

I do not feed during the last month of gestation.Don't want to risk them going premature.

So I see the odd urate here and there,but thats it until a day or two before.
