I just bought a young boa, I believe she is under a year, maybe 9 months old. I know she's a red tail, but what branch and origin do you guys think she is? If these pics are not sufficient, i'll try to take some better ones.

I'm not super proficient on boa morphs, but yours looks like Columbian or Boa constrictor imperator and not Boa constrictor constrictor. I may be wrong, someone else hopefully will jump in and help.

This would be correct from the pictures shown.

There's a huge difference between a red tail and a Colombian boa.

Looks like a common BCI

huh? It's "Columbian Red Tail" so I don't get what you're saying :hmm:

I also think it's kind of funny when people try to figure out what boa they have when they're captive bred. Could be anything, could be nothing specific. They will all interbreed and when the line between two different types is so arbitrary in the first place you're just splitting hairs anyway.

This is not a Columbian red tail. Its a columbian boa or common boa(bci). These boas generally don't keep the red tail as an adult like a bcc (true red tails) would. Bcc's also get bigger then a Bci.
