I've had my Blood for about 4 months now. I've never really had a problem with her feeding except around shedding time. One thing I have noticed though is she hasn't really been hydrating herself. I never really thought it was a problem but she hasn't taken a crap for about two months now. She's close to shedding now and I noticed she has excess skin hanging on her neck. I'm kind of worried because I've never noticed this before. Plus, not only has she not been drinking but she also burrows underneath her humidity box into her wood chips and stays there for days. I know the humidity in her wood chips is only around 50%. Any suggestions on how to hydrate my girl? Or comments? I try to soak her at least once a week for about an hour or so in a small bowl with luke warm water. The bowl is just big enough for her when she's all curled up. Any help would be great!

Hey Brad,

If shes close to shedding, there shouldn't be a problem.
Soak her every two days for an 1/2 hour or so and keep the humidity around 80 until she sheds.
Bloods will usually defecate with a shed, so if she has been feeding regularly, you should see some poop soon.

And about the excess skin......
Is it more of an excess skin where she bends her neck,,...as if the scales are sticking out in a certain direction where ever a kink might be?
im looking at one of mine in shed right now, and its doing the same.
This is normal, as the skin is halfway to comming off.
If its still there after the shed, then you might wanna post some pics.
