Target trained Day gecko!

Hi all, I thought i would share some pictures of my Giant day gecko, Caligula! I've been working on target training him so he can be handled, and it is working surprisingly well (depending on how hungry he is :) )
I use repashy day gecko powder and a chopstick, and feed him crickets about once/week. He is about 3-4 years old and lives in a 15 gallon tall aquarium.

He's a pretty boy :) I've never heard of target training for Geckos but that is pretty nifty!

How long have you had Caligula for?

i've had him for about 3 years, but only recently started target training him. I've been toying with getting him a girlfriend, but cant commit to the bigger enclosure now, and the fruitflies for babies :P When i got him he was almost adult size, so im just guessing his age. He really dislikes my snakes though; i have to paper the sides of their tnks or he gets quite nervous hahahaha

Oh okay, he looks like a nice handling size. Not too small which is nice! I'm sure he would love a girlfriend! :D

Hahaha awe, he's probably like "please don't eat me!" to the snakes haha
