So I bought a animal plastics 4 ft x 3 ft x 2 ft a few weeks ago, and its been sitting empty in my room. Decided to 'kind of' set it up, just to see what temps will run at and what not. Humidity is @ 71 and I have no substrate in there. Basking is @ 131. I blocked off the vents with garbage backs / duct tape. Theres like 5 hides in there, a 18 x 12 inch water bowl and 2 logs (will get more but these were drift wood near my house so easy pickups)

All the pics are attached, along with my fish tank which is getting smaller and smaller :S (started as a 40 breeder, now 10 gallon :D).

My question is, the plastic is about 1/2 inch pvc. I had a flexwatt on the back, ran it all night and ambients were still 72. My 1 x 50 watt flood light only raises temps to 74 or 75 (doesn't do much of anything really). I have a cvs heat pad with 3 settings, zoomed, and flexwatt, but I'm leaning towards just a night time heat bulb. (@ night my house stays 72 and its still pretty cold outside). Any thoughts on heating? Oh, and thats my more 'natural' version of a basking stack. Has 3 layers, and yes all the logs are sturdy. When I put soil in there, I can just put it around them so even with burrowing they won't move, they are all wedged in corners impossible to move (I dropped them in through the roof of the cage before I screwed it back on)

Some pics of the monitor I plan to get. Again this is only a temporary enclosure because I'm moving (like I said in the Rudi thread when I had him). The move was delayed till April 26th... but I think this is a more adequate temp enclosure than the 45 gallon rubbermaid.....And a pic of my fish tank (2 bolivian rams and 2 cory cats and an oto :D

Again, this isn't completed. Just doing an outline thingy for now.

How large will your adult setup be?

How large will your adult setup be?

I was thinking to take the panels from this enclosure, and use 3 or four of them as part of the front on the new enclosure. Was thinking something like 8 high (depends on ceiling height in new house), 8 wide, and 4 deep.
