Hogan my GTP last fed on 22nd October 2012 and is currently eating his first rat since that date. Five months and eleven days between feeds and he is perfectly healthy.
I think this is one of the amazing things about snakes, personally, and hope this allays anyones worries when their snakes go into a fasting period.
Obviously you need to check their husbandry and keep an eye on their condition but if there is nothing else wrong then they will eat eventually :)

Rob I am waiting out my GTP right now still. He stopped eating just after Dec 15 2012 and I started offering him rats again the first week of march. He is still refusing though. We just moved and I am thinking he has a few more weeks to go before he is willing to eat. Glad yours is eating again. :)
But when they start again, man are they pigs ;) Mine went off food for January and February. For the last month though, I could barely get the door open before he was out and snatching his food from me.

I only know of one shop in Bristol that has contacts to get them regularly, not sure where his breeder is tho, would you like the shops number to see if they can help?
Yeah my old guy Rudy didn't eat for a whole year about 25 years ago. I sear you could barely notice any weight loss. Never found any health problem. And he had eaten under the same conditions for 5 years at that point. Go figure.

its always good when they take their first feed after winter fast mate
i have a friend with a pair of GTP's and the male always goes off its food for 5,6,months of the year
imo with Morelia, the fast tones them up,leaving them lean and muscular
cheers shaun

My boas go off for about 3 months.
My royal is going on 5 months.
My adult carpets went 5 months with the exception that my fenale took a med rat about 2 months ago but is still off.
Young carpets always eat and my gopher and king just eat eat eat.
All my snakes fast with no issues...as it is normal for them.
