View Full Version : Meet Bugs!
And another "weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!" This is Bugs :) Who wouldnt love a googly-eyed midget emmy? He's 3 years old (yes, the perch in the pic is about the size of a pencil... he's so tiny!) and has had a rough life. Now he's got a good permament home and lots of love with me :D

I am glad to here he went to a good home but what his story? Was he neglected by a previous owner?
He looks amazing!
I'm curious too .. so what did this little sweeetie go through b4?
Unfortunately, he spent the first 2 years or so of his life with someone that didn't have a clue about what to do with him :(

Lindsay,
He is a little cutie in person. I will post some of the pics I took of him once I get them downloaded off of my digital.

This little guy has had it rough right from the start,I took him in because his previous owner was going to throw him in the freezer,he had regurged and prolapsed a couple of times...and he was severly stunted.
When i got him he looked like a piece of crumpled up tisue paper, and wasn't very responsive.
With a little time and care and alot of patience..i was able to bring him arround enough that i got him to take meals...keep em down, and he has had several bowel movements with no subsequent problems...unfortunetly with the size of my collection,i really couldn't provide the constant care, and monitoring that this guy was going to require for the next little while....After talkin to Lindsy on several occasions,I knew she was the one for the job..so off he went to his new permenent home ...good luck linds, and feel free to ask me any questions you have at anytime...It's great to see him get a second chance, and im sure you will both do just fine.
Best Wishes,
C.Marshell

Lindsay and C.Marshell
I hope you guys dont mind but I was so moved by Bugs and his story I had to share it with another forum of corallus lovers. He is quickly gaining in popularity and is up for the mascot of the site. Please read the link and add your two cents.
Bugs and the other guys (http://cgiapps.aplushosting.com/~corallus.com/ikonboard3/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi?s=3cd9b42267dbffff;act=ST;f=1;t=80)
Very sweet little guy!:) It's really nice to hear he's going to have a second chance at life. Linds, is this the treasure you were keeping under wraps till you got him?
Thanks for the kind words everyone!
Chris, if it wasnt for you the lil guy would be a Bugsicle in a freezer somewhere right now. I feel honored to be the one to care for him for the rest of his life (and a long one it will be ;))
Suticat, well, what can I say, I'm speechless (well, almsot, I replied to the thread on corallus.com :D). Who'd a thought the little guy would become so famous!
Yve, yup that's him! The secretive addition I was getting the cage all fixed up for :)
I have to agree what a face,,, cute little bugger.. congrats Linds
He is a handsom fellow I saw him on the Corallus Forum and instantly fell in love:D
