New Leopard gecko

Today i felt like saving a leo from petco because they had like 15 in one tiny cage :/ i might pick up another one what do youguys think?
Here is the baby leo i dont know if its a morph or just a reg if anyone knows

Unfortunately it isnt really "saving" anything as theywill just throw another one inthe tank, if the all die in the shop however they will change their policy as they are losing money

Well i think i saved this one and im debating getting another one nut i know i cant save them all but this one will be safe from any little kids or people who wont care for it properly and it will live to see its first birthday

I'm afraid Lankyrob is right, by buying their leopard geckos all you are doing is giving them space to put another.

Ehh yeah i guess so :/ i just feel bad looking at all of them in there i feel like obligated to save acouple of them

I was in a local pet shop, and they had atleast 3 leos dead in the tank, skinnier than a toothpick. It was horrifying and sad. I went back the next week and they had a new shipment in, still the leos were horribly thin. :(

:/ thats horrible but if you had the chance to save one or two out of the bunch wouldnt you buy them to give them a actual chance at life and have them cared for right so they will live like 5+ years

This is kinda a catch 22. Yes, you make a difference to the one (or 2) you buy and care for but at the same time you are enabling Petco to continue to sell lizards in (possibly) poor health. If there was a boycot of Petco then they would have to change their practices to get customers back. I don't think that will happen though.

Congrats on your new purchase though :D I'm sure you will both be very happy! I got my first snake from a pet store and he's the best reptile I have.

I refuse to buy any animals from that local pet shop, besides the feeder mice. Their kittens look sickly, the puppies are from puppy mills, and they dont even bother to remove dead reptiles from their enclosures. Not to mention the leopard geckos are $60+ for an unhealthy juvie =\

As for the morph I'm pretty sure that it isn't a normal....but I wouldn't know for sure so don't take my word :p

I'm no expert but it seems to be of some kind of albino variation :)

He's a cutie! I've been debating on whether I should get a Leo but who can resist a face like that :D Do you have a name for him yet? :)

Ha Go get one they are super cute! but not very smart i was holding it the other day and it looked up at me then at the ground and he/she said eff it im going for it and took a jump to the ground -_- .. lol throw a name suggestion this way?
